Michele Tafoya’s NFL sideline reporting career will come to an end after NBC broadcasts Super Bowl LVI on Feb. 13, according to an NBC Sports press release published Tuesday.
According to Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, Tafoya’s sideline reporting career will have spanned 327 games (301 regular-season contests, 21 playoff matchups, and five Super Bowls).

Tafoya began her sports journalism career in 1993 and began working for NBC Sports and Sunday Night Football in 2011.
The 57-year-old has won multiple awards over her three-decade career in sports media, including four Sports Emmys for Outstanding Sports Personality (Sports Reporter).

Before joining NBC, Tafoya worked for ABC/ESPN for a decade, most notably as a reporter for Monday Night Football. She also worked for ESPN’s NFL studio programs as a reporter.
During his stints at ABC for Monday Night Football and NBC for Sunday Night Football, play-by-play announcer Al Michaels collaborated with Tafoya on several of those shows. After learning of Tafoya’s resignation, he made these comments.
