A little refresher for casual watchers and outsider observers: The streaming sensation, based on a series of super sexy historical romance novels by author Julia Quinn, introduced the binge-watching world to the eight Bridgerton siblings (named in alphabetical order)—Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. Season one centers on eldest sister Daphne’s pursuit of the wholly handsome and unattainable Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings. And while most of their early romance takes place in the glittering ballrooms of Regency-era Mayfair, the show’s juiciest scheming and machinations happen in the drawing rooms, parlors, and kitchens of the aristocracy. The series incisively explores how a person’s public persona hides their more desperate and devious urges, a recipe for juicy drama.

Although the details of Bridgerton season 2 are still a mystery, viewers do know that the eldest Bridgerton brother, Anthony, will be the next to fall in love—and that, if season 1 is any indication, piping-hot sex scenes will ensue.
