“We didn’t have a lot of money growing up, so I just read the fashion magazines and watched celebrities on TV, and that really inspired me,” she recalled.
Renae admitted that when she was 20 years old she depended on her then-fiancé, who was her high school sweetheart. For a long time, she didn’t know who she was without him.

‘People say things like: ‘Thank you, I’ll send this to my grandmother, she’ll love it’. Or, “Yeah, you’re definitely too old to be here.”
“I did a funny Guess How Old Am I video that mostly had very nice comments, but some would say she was 75 or 65,” she recalled. “I just said, ‘I respect your opinion, and I asked the question.’”
But she has proven all her critics wrong after amassing more than 276,200 followers on TikTok, though not everyone is interested in her because of her fashion and beauty tips.
“Surprisingly, I have a bit more of a male following,” she said. “I think some people think of Instagram or TikTok as a dating app, but in general I would say about a 50-50 ratio.
Family
My husband is Korean and my children are mixed race and I am afraid of what is happening in the world today. I can’t expect things to get better, I need to be better,’ he explained.
‘It is very difficult for minorities, and not only now. I am in the process of figuring out what I can personally do to help.
‘I just want my children to grow up in a better world. Sure it’s a difficult task, but I don’t think it’s impossible.
Renae hopes to continue working as a digital creator well into her 60s, and she wants to remind fans that it’s never too late to start.
“If someone is 40 years old and wondering if they should start this journey, I say yes, yes, yes, just do it,” she said.
