  1. He has recalled that his first stint with the stage was when he was in high school. He had regularly taken part in the Maharashtra State Drama Competition. Between 1989 and 1992, he bagged several awards for Acting as well as for Drama-Direction. During his college days he went on to actively participate in various cultural gatherings.
  2. Atul Kulkarni has disclosed that when selecting a film he has looked into the story and after that, the storyteller and the character.
