According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China’s website, the 132 persons included 123 passengers and nine crew members.
While the airline has said that no foreigners were on board, relatives of some Eastern Airlines flight crew members have arrived at the company’s branch office in Yunnan Province, where they are being supported to “work on follow-up problems,” according to state-run CGTN-TV.
