Mo Brooks, a U.S. Representative from Alabama who lost Donald Trump’s endorsement for U.S. Senate earlier today, is firing back at the former President’s claims.

As previously reported, Trump pulled his endorsement of Brooks (who is currently running in third place in the Senate primary) and promised a new endorsement in the near future.

Mo Brooks of Alabama made a horrible mistake recently when he went “woke” and stated, referring to the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, “Put that behind you, put that behind you,” despite the fact that the Election was rife with fraud and irregularities. If we forget, the Radical Left Democrats will continue to Cheat and Steal Elections. Just look at what is happening in Wisconsin, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and elsewhere, but tremendous progress has been made that will help us in 2022 and 2024. The 2020 Election was rigged, and we can’t let them get away with it.

When I endorsed Mo Brooks, he took a 44-point lead and was unstoppable. He then hired a new campaign staff who “brilliantly” convinced him to “stop talking about the 2020 Election.” He listened to them. Then, according to the polls, Mo’s 44-point lead totally evaporated all based on his “2020” statement made at our massive rally in Cullman, Alabama. When I heard his statement, I said, “Mo, you just blew the Election, and there’s nothing you can do about it.” Very sad but, since he decided to go in another direction, so have I, and I am hereby withdrawing my Endorsement of Mo Brooks for the Senate. I don’t think the great people of Alabama will disagree with me. Election Fraud must be captured and stopped, or we won’t have a Country anymore. I will be making a new Endorsement in the near future!

There is a lot going on behind the scenes in this race, where Brooks is trying to get some momentum by dropping the 2020 election rhetoric and focus on more current issues. However, dropping that line of attack appears to be, at least on the outside, what cost him Trump’s endorsement. However, there is more.

Trump has been considering changing up his endorsement in the race for a while. He has not been happy with Brooks’ performance on the campaign trail and in the polls. He likes winners, after all, and he’s made it known to allies he’s looking elsewhere. But along with this, Brooks is accusing Mitch McConnell of manipulating the race, and is now saying Trump was “duped” by the Senate Minority Leader’s machinations.

This accusation doesn’t just come out of thin air, by the way: This has been speculated elsewhere.

This is absolutely believable, by the way. McConnell is well known to exert his influence to keep his control over the Senate and Senate Republicans. Brooks did fall victim to this, and it does appear that the message was amplified to Trump, which caused him to pull the trigger on rescinding the endorsement.

Brooks’ admission at the end of his statement may end up being problematic, by the way. He’s essentially telling the world that, yes, Trump did want to overturn the election and do so in ways that aren’t exactly legal. That will, of course, spark renewed discussion on the matter and overshadow Brooks’ race. In other words, as he’s trying to run away from the 2020 election, he has also set himself up to be forced to take more questions on it.

It’s ill-advised at best, and you can bet there are enough people out there who are going to try to make this a legal problem for both men.

Trump is promising a new endorsement in the future, but Brooks’ other two opponents are an ally of McConnell and someone who wants to be an ally of McConnell. That may actually keep Trump out of the race entirely.
