Daniel Enriquez Wiki
Daniel Enriquez Biography
Who is Daniel Enriquez ?
A Goldman Sachs employee was shot and killed in a subway shooting and now his family has directed their anger directly at Mayor Eric Adams as New York City’s crime problem continues.
Daniel Enriquez, 48, was riding the Q train on his way to Sunday brunch when he was shot in an apparently random attack.
Enriquez, a resident of Park Slope, Brooklyn, was heading to the Manhattan Bridge when the gunman opened fire without warning around 11:42 a.m.
The shooter fled the Canal Street station and has yet to be caught.
His sister, Griselda Vile, speaks out after the murder of her brother.
Family
“No one, no one, no one should let this happen to their family,” Vile told the New York Post.
She then attacked New York City’s weakened bail reform laws.
“And the worst thing is, even if they catch this person, he’s going to come back out,” Vile said.
Then came the harsh words for Mayor Adams, a former police officer who was elected on a promise to stop crime in the city, as well as New York Police Chief Keechant Sewell.
‘I would like you to go back to Mayor Adams and tell him that the city is not safe. My brother just became a statistic on his way to town. They shot him at close range.

Officers crowd the stairs leading down to the subway as the station was locked down after the shooting.
Her husband Glenn put it a little more simply.
‘Do your work. Get crime off the streets.
Griselda said that she should be making the city safer so more people don’t have to go through what they are going through.
“I want all New Yorkers to realize that this could be your reality tomorrow: your worst nightmare could come true,” she said. I don’t want this to be an attack on the mayor. I want him to focus on New York as a community.’
She also called for New York City to have more of a sense of community.
Shooting
‘We are five districts trying to take care of each other. We don’t feel safe. I don’t feel comfortable with my daughter taking the train and now I have more reasons to feel more scared. Now everyone who knows my brother is going to be more scared,” Vile said.
While murders and shootings are down 11 percent and three percent from an already crime-plagued 2021 under Mayor Bill de Blasio, overall crime in the Big Apple is up 40 percent so far in 2022.
That includes a 19 percent increase in felony assaults, a 12 percent increase in rapes and a 42 percent increase in robberies.
Traffic is the highest at 62 percent, as New Yorkers have experienced several passengers being pushed onto the tracks, as well as a mass shooting on the Brooklyn subway.
