As Joe Biden’s dumpster fire presidency continues to burn and tens of millions of Americans continue to suffer under his disastrous policies, our intrepid president remains undeterred. With America in a likely recession and inflation continuing to soar, the embattled president has authorized another $550 million in military assistance to Ukraine, bringing his grand total in aid to Ukraine to more than $8 billion.
Biden proudly assured reporters in late June: We’re going to support Ukraine “as long as it takes.”
(No word if Joe also assured American families he’d work to curb inflation as long as it takes, or assured Southern Border towns overrun by illegal aliens he’d work to secure the border as long as it takes.)
As reported by The Hill, White House National Security spokesman John Kirby previewed the latest Ukraine “security assistance” package on Monday, saying the Defense Department will send the additional “security assistance” to the war-torn country, including ammunition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), as well as 75,000 rounds of 155 mm artillery, according to a Pentagon statement.
Ukraine has been at war with Russia since Putin’s forces invaded the independent country on February 24.
Kirby also said Secretary of State Antony Blinken, national security adviser Jake Sullivan and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley informed their Ukrainian counterparts of the latest assistance package in an early-morning call on Monday.
Blinken, perhaps the most clueless member of the Biden administration — and I’m fully aware the bench is very deep — said in a Monday afternoon statement, per the Hill:
The United States continues to stand with Allies and partners from more than 50 countries in providing vital security assistance to support Ukraine’s defense of its sovereignty and territorial integrity against Russia’s aggression. Our commitment to the people of Ukraine will not waver. We stand united with Ukraine.

Memo to Antony Blinken:
Yo, Tony — how ’bout you hook with your Biden administration comrades, Homeland Security Department honcho Alejandro Mayorkas and Border Czar Kamala Harris, and at least try to also defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the United States against illegal alien aggression?
What’s that? The Biden Border Crisis is working out exactly as planned? Got it. Thanks.
The bottom line:
Since taking office, less than 19 months ago, Biden has authorized 17 military assistance packages for Ukraine — topping $8 billion, as I mentioned at the top — as Ukrainian forces continue their protracted war against Vladimir Putin’s invaders, in a war that some experts predict could continue for years.
Meanwhile, Democrats running for reelection in November are avoiding Biden like the plague, a prominent Republican senator predicts that Hunter Biden will be indicted but a “deal” will be struck to seal the indictment, keeping the whole story from public view, and Texas Senator Ted Cruz demands that Biden “end the narco slave trade,” caused solely by the inept president’s disastrous open-border policies.
And Joe? Who knows? He’s likely enjoying a big bowl of his favorite ice cream as we speak. After all, I’m sure it’s been a long hard day for the ol’ dude. Bedtime for Joey comes early, these days.
