Who is Lisa Cash?
The three brothers who were killed following a “stabbing” at a home in Dublin have been named, as police arrested a man in his 20s who was “known to them”.
Lisa Cash, 18, and her brother and sister, twins Christy and Chelsea Cawley, 8, died after the incident in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services responded to the property on the Rossfield Estate, Tallaght, at around 12.30am. m. from today.
The three brothers were taken to Children’s Health Ireland in Crumlin, but all were pronounced dead a short time later.
Flowers have also been left at the scene, with a tribute that reads: ‘Fly high little angels. Our hearts are broken for all of you.
His 14-year-old brother was also taken to the same hospital after suffering serious injuries, but his life is not believed to be in danger.
The children’s mother, who is in her 40s, was not injured during the incident. She was also taken to the hospital and is now being cared for by her family.
Specialized armed officers used a Taser to arrest a man in his 20s at the scene.
Incident
He is currently in police custody under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
According to reports in the Irish Times, the incident is believed to have been a stabbing.
Neighbors at the estate told police they heard gunshots this morning, The Mirror reported. Others said they heard police sirens and a helicopter hovering overhead.
In a statement, Gardai said everyone involved is believed to know each other and officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
The police service described it as a “violent, challenging and traumatic incident”.
A police cordon has been erected around the scene on the Rossfield Estate, with forensic teams photographed at the property this morning.
An incident room has also been set up in Tallaght and all the circumstances are being investigated under the direction of a senior investigating officer, police say.
Family
The Coroner’s Office and the State Pathologist’s Office have been informed. with the planned post-mortem examinations.
The Garda say it has appointed a family liaison officer and will continue to support those involved alongside other state agencies.
Officers responded to the incident with unarmed uniformed Garda first responders from Tallaght District, supported by uniformed members and armed detectives and specialist members of the Armed Support Unit.
An Garda Siochna also said it has implemented welfare support for all officers who attended the incident.

“The scene remains preserved for forensic examination by the Garda Technical Office,” the force said in a statement, The Sun reported.
Autopsies will be performed this afternoon and tomorrow on the bodies of the deceased by State Pathologist Dr. Sally Anne Collis.
Fianna Fail Councilor Charlie O’Connor, who was on the scene this morning, said there is widespread shock in the community.
She added: ‘I don’t know how to describe it. I was getting calls early in the morning with people pointing it out to me.
‘People are only now starting to come out of their houses. I was in the Catholic Church a while ago and a lot of people hadn’t heard about it, but the news was getting through.
‘There is a deep shock, people are very, very upset, any event like this would cause shock, but the fact that it involves children.
“It’s a really impactful event for this community and indeed the Tallaght community in general and elsewhere. This will affect many, many people.
“I was talking to the Gardai and they told me that their colleagues who were there last night were in deep shock.
‘It’s terrible. We have to think about the family, think about its neighbors, think about the community in general.
“Attempts are being made to support the local community and the local Brookfield Community and Youth Center has just confirmed to me that they will now be open for the rest of the day.
“People are welcome to come and cry and have a cup of tea and talk about their pain.
“I really find it shocking to think that three kids that age are no longer with us and won’t be going to school in the morning.”
The upper floor windows of the property were open and broken, while bloodstains could be seen on the window frames.
A broken ground-floor window also remained open as forensic officers examined the front lawn.
A black car outside the property was also a focal point of the investigation.
Justice Minister Helen McEntee said: “The murder of three young members of the family is a tragedy, so horrible and heartbreaking. It is difficult to understand.
My thoughts are with the family and the local community as they face this unimaginable crime.
“Gardai and other services are supporting them at this difficult time.”
