  5. 8 years before his murder, Big hawk’s younger brother Fat Pat was fatally shot by an unknown gunman at 10440 South Drive, Houston, Texas on February 3, 1998. Both cases have remained unsolved.
  6. Talking about Big Hawk in an interview with the Houston Chronicle, rapper Bun B once said, “There were no kinks in this man’s moral armor, because he was a rapper. There will be people who will take his death the wrong way, but he was a peaceful guy and a family man who had no beefs with anybody”.
  7. Big Hawk’s 3rd and final studio album Endangered Species was released posthumously on May 15, 2007, via Ghetto Dreams Entertainment and it features guest appearances from Big Pokey, Chamillionaire, Chris Ward, C-Note, Devin the Dude, E. Martin, Fat Pat, Jimmy D of 713, Lil’ Keke, Lil’ O, Mike D, Paul Wall, Scooby of Grit Boys, Slim Thug, Trae tha Truth, and Wayne “PZ” Perry. The album peaked at#24 on the US Top Rap Albums (Billboard) chart and at #54 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (Billboard) chart.
