American Stand-Up Comic Known as “The Love Goddess” and “Aphrodite of the Accordion” passed away on 6th October 2022. She was popularly known for “The Vagina Monologues” and “Menopause the Musical” both in L.A. and Chicago. Tenuta was one of the generations of performers who was known for her comic and jocks. She performs in clubs nationwide such as the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, Laff Stop in Houston, and Caroline’s in New York City.

Judy Tenuta Cause Of Death

Judy Tenuta starred in 1987’s “Women of the Night,” alongside Ellen DeGeneres, Paula Poundstone, and Rita Rudner. She was known as “The Love Goddess” passed away at age of 72 years. Tenuta died on 6th October 2022 on Thursday afternoon at home in Los Angeles. She was battling fourth-stage ovarian cancer. 

Judy was born in Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago, on Nov. 7, 1949. She join the Chicago comedy troupe Second City before starting her solo standup career after that she worked at odd jobs. She built her career in the 1980s. Tenuta was two-time Grammy nominee (1995, 1996) for “Attention Butt Pirates and Lesbetarians” and “In Goddess We Trust.”

She acted in her credits such as “The Petite Flower,” “Fashion-Plate Saint,” “Queen of Candy-Pants,” “Princess of Panty Shields,” “Empress of Elvis Impersonators” and the “Buffer of Foreheads.”

Tenuta was survived by her husband Vern Pang, and her five brothers including John, Steven, Thomas, James, and sister Barbara.

She won the best female comedian at the American Comedy Awards becoming the first female to earn this award.
