One of the things some have been wondering about regarding the Biden classified documents found at the Penn Biden Center is just where were they before that? Because they had to be someplace else before the Biden Center opened if they were removed from where they were supposed to be before Joe Biden left the vice presidency on Jan. 20, 2017. The Biden Center had its official opening in February 2018.
Now there’s an answer to that question and it’s concerning.
It turns out they were in a “government transition office” for six months, a source told the Daily Mail. The space, in Washington, D.C.’s Chinatown neighborhood, was overseen by the Penn Biden Center while the Center was being prepared to open. “Everything was just moved en masse to temporary space, then moved to Penn Biden,’ the source said.
That, of course, means those documents may have been exposed to any number of people — from the people who moved them back and forth, to the folks at the Penn Biden Center over six years. That could have included Biden staff, GSA personnel, and Penn Biden Center officials who also included current Biden administration officials.
But it turns out the woman who oversaw it all was an administrative assistant who had been recommended by Hunter Biden: Kathy Chung. Emails on the laptop confirmed Hunter had recommended her.
‘Hunter Biden recommended it. They had worked together at Department of Commerce years ago,’ the person said. Hunter notified her of the opportunity, asked her if she was interested, and found out that she was.
‘He spoke to her father about her,’ said the person. So did former Delaware Sen. Ted Kaufman, a longtime Biden associate who is among the trio of Democratic senators she had worked for in the past. [….]
‘Thanks for calling and thinking of me,’ Chung wrote to Hunter in May 2012, according to Fox News, after getting put forward for the job when predecessor Michelle Smith was leaving.

‘After the initial shock of taking in what you said… how could I pass up an opportunity to work for the Vice President of the United States!!!!’
Chung has been questioned by federal investigators about what she knows. Chung now works as deputy director of protocol for Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
‘She helped pack up the contents of the vice president’s office, including documents, and was responsible for their being transferred to the transition office,’ said the person, who said Chung had ‘responsibility’ for the move. ‘She just didn’t know the contents of every box that was being moved.’
Mixed up with what have been reported to be 10 government documents, some marked ‘top secret,’ were the contents of desks and cabinets from Biden’s old office, papers related to late son Beau Biden’s funeral, and a document related to home repairs at Biden’s Wilmington home – a site that was itself revealed to contain additional classified material.
They moved the documents into the Penn Biden Center in July 2017. The Center is not responding to how long the documents were in Chinatown and who might have had access to them while they were in charge.
But just remember, Joe Biden takes all this very “seriously.” At this point, I’m starting to wonder if the better question is who didn’t have access to the documents since Biden appears to have been so careless. At this point, it’s out of control and they shouldn’t have allowed Joe Biden to be at any of these locations because he could be destroying evidence as we speak. He’s at his Rehoboth Beach home this weekend, why are they letting him go there if they haven’t searched it yet? There are reports that they may search other locations. But this just keeps getting worse for him.
