The gelatin and collagen in bone broth boost gut health, and the amino acids it provides help eliminate toxins from the body, aiding liver detoxification along with other organs.
Further research shows that the bone marrow in bone broth protects and even optimizes brain health, while having a healthy gut thanks to bone broth is good for bones as well.
3. Sauerkraut
As a fermented food, sauerkraut provides beneficial probiotics that help with:
- inflammation
- digestion

- and more
It’s also an important food for the microbiome, and we know the gut can have a major impact on all aspects of the body, including internal organs.
4. Blueberries
Blueberries are not only high-antioxidant foods, but they are also organ-nourishing foods. They’re especially beneficial to gut, brain and heart health.
For instance, blueberry consumption has been shown to improve cognitive performance in both children and older adults, all while protecting against brain aging. Studies also show that eating blueberries can help reduce the risk of heart disease risk factors, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol.
5. Squash
Whether we’re talking butternut squash, yellow squash, acorn squash or any other variety, squash is among the top organ-nourishing foods. A lot that has to do with the beneficial phytonutrients and minerals squash provides.
Butternut squash, for example, is good for the eyes, heart, immunity and more, while zucchini can help keep the organs free from toxins.
6. Goat’s Milk Kefir
Another fermented food, kefir, especially kefir from goat milk, supplies probiotics along with many other nutrients. It’s especially good at protecting gut health, and thanks to the calcium, vitamin K and other nutrients it supplies, it can support bones.
Thanks to the goat milk, it also can support heart health by helping regulate cholesterol.
