More Reasons To Avoid Overeating During Pregnancy

Children born to overweight or obese mothers are more likely to become obese as adults than those born to leaner mothers, according to a Rutgers study.
Too much weight gain during pregnancy can cause fetal macrosomia (a child born significantly larger than average).
Overweight mothers are also at increases risk for pregnancy-related hypertension, gestational diabetes, prolonged labor, and the need for a C-section, delivery before your due date, postpartum weight retention and blood clots in the postpartum period.
