Tip 2 – Ice Therapy

Applying ice to the affected area can help reduce pain, swelling and inflammation. Place an ice pack or a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a thin cloth on the ankle for 15-20 minutes every 2-3 hours. This cold therapy constricts blood vessels, numbs the area and alleviates swelling. However, be cautious not to apply ice directly to the skin, as it may cause frostbite. Ice therapy is an effective and accessible method to manage pain and facilitate healing.
