ACTRESS Reese Witherspoon has attended the Golden Globes Awards ceremony with her rarely-seen son, Deacon Phillippe.
On Sunday, the mother/son duo were spotted side by side at the red carpet ceremony.
Before the event commenced at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, the pair arrived in their fancy duds and posed for the cameras.
Reese, 47, donned a strapless black gown topped with a pink bow.
The Legally Blonde star accessorized with a silver necklace and matching earrings.
She bared her shoulders and showed off her incredible figure while strutting across in black pumps.
Deacon, 20, stood out with his dapper black suit and matching bow tie.
During the awards ceremony, The Morning Show star switched dates and sat with her co-star, Jennifer Aniston, 54.
‘MY FIRST AWARDS SHOW’
Meanwhile, the 20-year-old star spoke at Variety’s pre-show about his first-ever appearance at the Golden Globes, via New York Post.
“This is my first Golden Globes and really my first awards show so I am very excited,” Deacon said.
He prepped for his big night in Hollywood, “So there’s two main things.
“Gum, hand sanitizer, and be nice to everyone.”
Deacon also teased his famous mother: “Curfew? I don’t know.
“We’ll see. I’m following her tonight. She’s the party animal. And so, I’m just going to try and keep up.”
The Walk The Line star and her ex Ryan Phillippe, 49, share their daughter Ava, 23, and son Deacon.
Deacon made his acting debut starring as Parker in Season 3 of Netflix’s Never Have I Eve.
In July 2020, he released his debut single, Long Run (feat. Nina Nesbitt) and then his debut album, A New Earth, in April 2023.
The SPLIT
The duo’s appearance came after the 47-year-old star split from her ex-husband Jim Toth, 53.
In March 2023, the exes announced they were divorcing after about 11 years of marriage.
In a joint statement, the former pair said: “We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.”
That same month, an insider close to the situation told The U.S. Sun: “It was never if with Reese and Jim but when.”
The source continued: “Even when Reese and Jim couldn’t see eye to eye about anything, they are very dedicated co-parents, and that shouldn’t change even if Jim has to change zip codes, which is very likely now.”
Despite their successful joint business ventures, such as the sale of their production company Hello Sunshine for almost $1 billion in 2021, the exes wanted different things for their lives.
The two share an 11-year-old son, Tennessee, and have remained committed to co-parenting the boy.
