COURTNEY Stodden has gotten engaged again – just days after flushing their ex-fiancé’s diamond ring down the toilet.
The model’s boyfriend Jared Safier proposed with a five-carat ring at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles last Tuesday.
Emmy-winning producer Jared showed Courtney the diamond while they were at the hotel’s THE Blvd Restaurant & Bar, TMZ reported.
However, he got down on one knee for the actual proposal when they were back at their Brentwood home.
Courtney – who is non-binary and identifies as they/them – reportedly picked out the ring they liked when they were walking past a jewelry display in the hotel lobby in February during an Oscars party.
The pair began dating last summer.
They are not “diving into” wedding planning and are just enjoying being engaged for the moment, according to the outlet.
This is Jared’s first time getting engaged and Courtney’s third.
He proposed just one week after Celebrity Big Brother star Courtney flushed their ex Chris Sheng’s ring down the toilet.
“Just doing a little last-minute spring cleaning before summer,” they said in a video taken in the bathroom.
The reality star grabbed the huge ring from the jewelry box and shared a close-up of it on camera.
“I guess diamonds aren’t always a girl’s best friend after all,” they quipped, before panning the camera to the toilet bowl and throwing the ring into it.
The model then flushed the toilet and filmed the ring going down the drain.
“Toodaloo,” they said while waving at the sparkler and added, “Onto the next chapter.”
Filmmaker Chris proposed to Courtney in 2021 and they called off their engagement in July 2023.
Sources told TMZ at the time that “jealousy and insecurities” led to their split.
Courtney told the outlet that her ring toss was inspired by the 1997 movie Titanic.
“Like the little old lady who dropped it into the ocean in the end, I needed to rid myself of any remnants from the past that no longer had any hold on me,” they said.
Inside Courtney’s controversial romance with first husband Doug Hutchison
COURTNEY met Lost actor Doug Huchison on the internet and they married in 2011 when the model was just 16 and the actor was 51.
The union sparked outcry as fans feared for Courtney over the 34-year age gap and the fact that the future reality star was a minor.
The couple separated in 2013 and reconciled a year later.
The pair did not have any kids and Courtney had a miscarriage in 2016.
Courtney filed for divorce in 2018 and they finalized the split in 2020.
Doug later said their relationship ruined his career and that he was “blacklisted” from Hollywood.
“She was 16 and I was 50, so I knew our union was going to turn heads,” he told Fox News in 2020.
“But I didn’t realize the impact it would truly have. I didn’t realize that in marrying Courtney, my manager would drop me, my agent would drop me.
“I was blacklisted. I was blackballed from casting directors. I shot my career in the head for love. And in doing so, I lost my family and friends.”
“I was suddenly on the Titanic and everyone was fleeing except for me and Courtney.”
“Rose’s character taught me something special – what a woman does with her diamonds is her prerogative.”
Courtney was previously married to Lost actor Doug Hutchison.
They met on the internet and tied the knot in 2011 when the television personality was just 16 and Doug was 51.
The relationship faced widespread backlash due to the 34-year age gap and Courtney being a minor.
Courtney filed for divorce from the actor in March 2018, and they finalized their split in March 2020.
