Indian-American model and producer Padma Lakshmi has congratulated her daughter, Krishna, on graduating middle school in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Padma does not feature her daughter regularly on her Instagram but wanted to send her off to high school with a birthday brunch at Gramercy Tavern in New York.
“I can’t believe my baby girl is off to high school after the Summer,” Padma captioned her post.
“I want to thank all of the teachers, educators, counselors, security and staff at the United Nations School for taking care of Krishna all these years.”
“I’m so proud of Krishna and all she has achieved in her young, happy life. Special thanks to the theater department at UNIS and all the wonderful members of the parents association. I’ll miss you guys at the snack bar! As Littlehands would say… gurl, bye!”
She shared a couple of photos of her and Krishna at brunch as well.
Fans were loving the sweet family pics, as one person said, “Aww congratulations!! So beautiful.”
“Beautiful young lady just like her mama!” another stated.
In the past, Padma revealed she felt ashamed over the paternity questions she received when she got pregnant with her daughter between relationships.
“It was just about as horrible as is possible to be,” Padma told The New Yorker as she discussed being probed about her daughter’s father.
She added, “I mean, talk about slut shaming.”

MINI ME
Padma’s Instagram page has amassed a following of nearly 2 million followers.
Much of her presence on Instagram is promo for her docuseries.
However, Padma’s official TikTok page serves as a more creative and free-flowing platform.
In fact, Padma regularly features her daughter on her TikTok page.
The duo often sit down together and film a mini podcast series called, Little Hands.
The mother and daughter talk about everything from their favorite dishes to their first kisses.
Many fans on TikTok are asking Padma to make Little Hands into a full-fledged podcast.
Besides their couch chats, Krishna will also step into the kitchen to cook dinner for the two of them.
