The singer-songwriter dropped a new single – and music video – for his latest track, Why Why Why, which features a choice set of lyrics that shocked his longtime fans and followers.

One of the songs, Why Why Why, seems to be about a long-lost love.
Shawn sings about the relationship ending, despite wanting to have a future with the mystery woman.
“Thought I was about to be a father,” he sings in the last verse.
“Shook me to the core, I’m still a kid.
“Sometimes I still cry out for my mother.
“Why why why? Why why why?”
