Many fans flocked to the comments section to give their own medical advice
‘SO BLOODY LUCKY’
“Mate, so bloody lucky… just don’t put on any aftershave,” said one user.
“Dude you should not be shaving!! You’ll make yourself prone to infections,” a second user added.
“Put fresh aloe vera from the plant all over it daily until it heals. it’s messy but it works,” a third person advised.
“I don’t think you’re supposed to do that with a burn,” a fourth person commented.
“You could get STAPH/MRSA or become septic. Make sure you spray that razor down with 71% or higher alcohol or grain alcohol if you got it.”
They added: “Vaseline or Aquaphor or organic coconut oil them burns around the clock.”
One user joked that Sid “should wear bandages like a mummy for your mask for the next couple of shows.”
Another person remarked that this was a “great time to grow the beard.”

“A bonfire. It was burnt from last night already, there were some leftovers, and I got a little — woosh — fire,” he said.
“I’m gonna be okay. No, it’s not from a show, it’s me out working on the farm. It’s not stinging so much anymore.”
Sid was evasive on the exact details of the incident but did admit that he regretted how things went down.
“I will say I do know better, he said.
“So everyone out there, be really safe… [It’s] something I’ve dealt with tons of times. Sometimes when you’re a big brave man, that aspect of it can get in the way of rational thought.”
Sid went into further detail in a second Instagram video.
“I had an explosion in my face,” Sid said.
“My face is burned, and my cheeks… I’m gonna be okay, but I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms.”
He continued: “You can see the phone is shaking — that’s cuz I’m holding it and I am shaking. They’re doing some X-rays on my chest right now to make sure I didn’t inhale any flames.”
Sid also explained the full extent of his injuries.
“Eyebrows are singed, my mouth is blistered, arms pretty bad — both my arms,” he said.
“I’m gonna be all right, you guys. I don’t care what it takes, I will see you on tour.”
