Lizzo and rapper Ice Spice are among the latest celebrities rumored to be on Ozempic after radical weight loss transformations.
Lizzo — who champions body positivity — may have fallen for the weight-loss drug, fans suggested, after a photo showed her looking slimmed down on vacation in Bali, Indonesia.
Gen Z sensation Ice Spice, known for her voluptuous curves, has also been sporting a much more svelte physique in recent months — similarly prompting rumors that she may have been enhanced by Ozempic.
And Christina Aguilera and Nicole Kidman were hit with similar speculation earlier this year after they revealed much slimmer profiles on social media.
Top plastic surgeon Dr Adam Rubenstein, who runs a clinic in Miami, Florida, that is set to launch a weight loss program, has revealed to DailyMail.com what he thinks about the latest batch of celeb rumors.
Lizzo has faced speculation that she’s using the drug, despite her reputation as a body positivity icon. She is pictured above last week, left, and in October 2022
Speaking to DailyMail.com, he said: ‘This is a drug that has gained popularity pretty quickly because it works.
‘In a business where your image is so important, and people are under tremendous pressure to stay in good shape, it is no wonder that more and more people — and celebrities — are doing it.’
Weight loss drugs have surged in popularity in the US amid endorsements from the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Elon Musk, with surveys suggesting that six percent of all adults — or 15.5million people — have tried them. They have also become more popular among celebrities.
Below, DailyMail.com reveals the five most recent stars who have faced allegations they are on Ozempic:
Lizzo
A body positivity icon, the 260lb superstar once joked she’s not a snack but the ‘whole damn meal’.
The 36-year-old singer’s activism even became the subject of a South Park joke, where people who couldn’t afford Ozempic were prescribed a drug called ‘Lizzo’ that made them not care about their weight.
But in candid snaps shared from her vacation in Bali, Indonesia, on Monday — she appeared to be debuting a slimmer frame.
This led to allegations from viewers that she was using Ozempic, including one who said: ‘Lizzo… now appears to be prescribed to Ozempic.’
Dr Rubenstein said: ‘There is no reason she wouldn’t use Ozempic,’ he told DailyMail.com, ‘but I just don’t think this most recent picture supports that.
‘There is not a tremendous difference between the two photos and, knowing her personality, she may want to be in good physical shape — and she doesn’t really give a crap about other people’s perception of her body.’
Lizzo has not responded to suggestions she could be on Ozempic, but has revealed she is following a new strict diet and fitness regime to improve her fitness for upcoming shows.
On her vacation, she has shared a number of clips of herself lifting weights in the gym and jumping over a skipping rope. She captioned one, ‘If you’re reading this… remember you can do ANYTHING you put ur mind to! Stay focused, you got this.’
She previously told the New York Times: ‘I’m taking time every day to put some love into my body. There is never a day when I regret taking a walk or doing some pilates. I’ve been methodical, losing weight very slowly.’
Lizzo is currently on a ‘gap year’ from the music industry while she faces a lawsuit from three ex-dancers who accuse her of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment.

Christina Aguilera
The Genie in a Bottle singer has recently returned to the spotlight with a dramatically slimmer look.
Fans speculated about the 43-year-old hitmaker using Ozempic in May, following a performance in Mexico where she appeared to have ‘traveled through time’ to go back to her slimmer self.
Dr Rubenstein suggested that the ‘drastic’ change to her figure suggested she had likely used a weight loss drug, either Ozempic or similar.
‘Christina Aguilera looks great,’ he said, ‘but it is a pretty drastic change from where she was — not just in her face but in her body as well’.
‘A transformation like this is impressive, but it does come with a tremendous amount of hard work whether she is using semaglutide [the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy] or not. However, I would guess she probably had some assistance.’
Dr Jonny Betteridge, a London-based aesthetics expert, also suggested she had used a weight loss drug saying on TikTok: ‘This change in weight in such a short period of time could be attributed to Ozempic use.’
Christina has struggled with a fluctuating waistline over the years and decided to work to lose 40lbs after the birth of her son Max, now 15, by following a 1,600-calorie-per-day diet.
She has now given up on dieting completely and instead revealed in an interview with L:’Officiel Italia in 2020 that she focuses on eating clean.
She has not commented on whether she used Ozempic, but told Glamour last month that she has a ‘maturity now where I just don’t give a f*** about your opinion.
‘It must be your responsibility to take up your space,’ she said. ‘Other people’s opinions of me are not my business.’
Christina has also faced allegations of previously using ‘too much filler’, which surgeons said gave her a ‘pillow face-like appearance’.
One fan said online: ‘Ozempic ages everyone terribly, but it’s honestly working wonders for her,’ while a second added, ‘That’s Ozempic Aguilera’.
Kim Petras pictured just a year apart. Some fans have speculated that she might be on Ozempic, although this has not been confirmed
Kim Petras
Kim Petras sparked speculation she had used Ozempic after debuting a new look this summer.
Fans described the Unholy singer, 32, as ‘unrecognizable’ and suggested she may have tried a weight loss drug.
Dr Rubenstein agreed, telling this outlet: ‘This is a pretty clear body change that happened over a year, and I think it is not unlikely that Kim used Ozempic or some similar weight-loss drug.
‘She has really thinned out, her thighs even look slimmer from one picture to the other — and that is very hard to achieve. To get your extremities looking thinner, that is a significant amount of weight loss.
‘At 32, your metabolism is still very much kicking — so if you use these medications, then your body is really primed for weight loss, and you can get results like this.’
In April this year, Kim canceled all of her summer festival performance dates citing ‘health issues’, but didn’t specify the cause.
Dr Rubenstein said they may be linked to weight loss drugs, if she had taken them, saying: ‘These drugs can cause nausea, and sometimes can have longer lasting effects on the speed at which food moves through your tummy — making it harder to eat, so you can have some cramping.
‘There have been reports of pancreatitis too, which is difficult to go through and requires a rest to your diet, to your body. It is a painful condition, so the idea of getting up on stage or even in a crowd is not a great one — especially when you are in that kind of pain.’
Kim has not commented publicly on suggestions she may have taken Ozempic or her body transformation, sharing an image online revealing it with the caption ‘hi’.
Ice Spice pictured in June (right) this year and July 2021. Surgeons said her weight loss was likely down to dieting and exercise, pointing out her young age – at 24 years old
Ice Spice
Famous for taking the hip-hop world by storm, the 24-year-old New Yorker is among the latest to be hit with Ozempic use allegations.
They were triggered by mirror selfies she shared on social media on Monday, with fans quickly saying she had lost a ‘significant’ amount of weight.
One said, ‘Even Ice Spice is on Ozempic, nobody can win’, while a second added, ‘Whoever put Ice Spice on Ozempic is going to hell’.
Dr Rubenstein said it was possible that she had used weight loss medications because of her slimmer frame, although he was not certain.
‘She is young and healthy and always has been really fit,’ he told DailyMail.com.
‘You have to remember, that when you live like Ice Spice you spend a few months traveling, going to parties, drinking, having great food, and then you spend another few months burning it all off.
‘So that can easily explain going from one to the other, especially at her age.’
Ice Spice has denied the rumors — saying during an X Spaces chat last week: ‘I actually came on here to talk about that real quick. Cuz I was like, b****, I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic.
‘Like, what even is Ozempic?,’ she added, ‘what the f*** is that? Genuinely, what is that, bro? Like, you lazy b****** never heard of the gym? It’s called the gym, it’s called eating healthy, it’s called being on tour.’
Nicole Kidman pictured on Instagram in November last year (right) and in September 2021. Surgeons said it was possible she had used Ozempic or a similar weight loss drug
Nicole Kidman
Already famous for her lean physique and elegant tight-fitting gowns, Nicole Kidman is now facing speculation that she too is on Ozempic.
The star, 57, debuted a dramatically thinner look in November last year — with reports suggesting she was now 25lbs below the average weight for her 5ft 11in frame.
Fans slammed the appearance as ‘too skinny’, with some commenting that she should ‘eat a cheeseburger’ or ‘a double cheeseburger with bacon and extra mayo’.
There have also been suggestions she has taken Ozempic, but Dr Rubenstein said this was unlikely.
‘It is possible that she thinned out a bit using these medications,’ he said, ‘but she notoriously has always held herself out as wanting to be natural and she has always been slim and in great shape.’
Nicole has not commented publicly on Ozempic rumors, but in December last year sources revealed she was ‘silently struggling’ amid the comments.
The insider told In Touch: ‘Nicole has been secretly struggling and doing her best to hide it.
‘Everyone wants to know what’s wrong with her. Even those close to her are concerned. The truth is, Nicole has been working herself ragged, and it’s taking a toll.’
Nicole revealed back in 2011 that she had used Botox, but said she did not like how it froze the wrinkles on her forehead.
‘I didn’t like how my face looked afterward,’ she told PEOPLE at the time. ‘Now, I don’t use it anymore — I can move my forehead again!’
