An influencer and model has revealed that her dreams of becoming a mother have been ‘shattered’ due to having too many filler injections.

Jennifer Pamplona, 31, often hits the headlines due to her ‘surgery-addicted’ lifestyle, spending more than US$1million (AU$1.47million) to look like her idol Kim Kardashian.

But now she has received the heartbreaking news that she has a low chance of conceiving a baby due to complications from buttock fillers.

‘I always dreamed of being a mother,’ Jennifer, who boasts one million followers on Instagram (@jenniferpamplona), told Need To Know.

‘Since I was young, I imagined the moment I would have my own children and start a family.

‘Now I see that being destroyed by something I thought was a solution to improve my appearance.

‘The suffering is immense, and the pain of not being able to create life is something I never imagined facing.’

Polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA) is a substance used in creating dermal fillers, often for improving the skin’s contour or helping to fix scarring.

It’s also the go-to for buttock augmentations.

However, there are risks involved, including inflammation and infections.

As a result, the substance can migrate from the injection site to other parts of the body, including the pelvic area, which can affect the functioning of the reproductive organs.

According to Dr Carlos Rios, the plastic surgeon specializing in Jennifer’s case, she began experiencing severe pain in her buttocks and legs after undergoing the procedure more than 10 years ago.

He spoke about the model and the complications she has faced as a result, in a self-produced documentary called, Addiction, and called her situation a ‘matter of life or death.’

Dr Rios said: ‘Jennifer had injected PMMA into her buttocks in a procedure known as bioplasty.

‘The symptoms she exhibited were a direct consequence of this procedure.

‘She was hanging by a thread.

‘With meditation, proper diet, supplementation and medication, we managed to stabilize her for now.

‘It was a matter of life or death.’

Jennifer started undergoing plastic surgery at the age of 17 and has since had more than 30 procedures across her body and face.

She only decided to stop after being diagnosed with body dysmorphia in 2022.

Now, she is currently going through a period of great suffering and coming to terms with the complications.

She is also awaiting to undergo reconstructive surgery in Colombia.

She added: ‘My limitations are severe, and I don’t know what the future holds.

‘I knew I had a problem, but I wasn’t dealing with it yet.

‘I like to say that if everyone paid attention to their emotional health, procedures would be less frequent.

‘But it’s important to mention that I’m not against plastic surgeries, as long as you do it consciously.’
