SELENA Gomez has surprised a Telluride high school after the volleyball team begged the star to sing the National Anthem at their game.
The Only Murders in the Building star visited the secluded Colorado city to attend the screening of her new film, Emilia Perez, at the Telluride Film Festival.
Aware the Calm Down singer would be in town, a local high school girl’s volleyball team asked Selena, 32, to sing the National Anthem at a game with a sign that was later posted to social media.
On Saturday, Selena shared photos and video of her visit on Instagram with the caption, “They asked!! Couldn’t help it, it’s my first time in Telluride!”
A short video captured the Hollywood star surprising the team as they warmed up before their game.
She quietly entered the gymnasium and was immediately rushed by admiring high schoolers.
Photos included in the post showed Selena surrounded by her excited fans as she signed autographs.
One photo even captured the Hulu star grinning as she signed the forehead of one lucky student.
A group snapshot showed Selena smiling wide while posing with the Telluride High School volleyball team.
In the comment section, one fan wrote, “This is so sweet [heart emoji].”
“The people’s princess,” added another.
A third commenter wrote, “You have the kindest heart ever .”
“The kindest heart indeed,” agreed actress Zoe Saldana.

Selena and the rest of the Wizards of Waverly Place cast made more fans happy when a shocking decision about the sequel’s episode count was revealed.
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is about grown-up Justin Russo, played by David Henrie, raising his family.
TVLine answered fans’ questions about upcoming shows, old and new.

“The first season of the sequel series premiering in late October will conjure a whopping 21 episodes, though the initial Disney+ binge drop is only the first eight,” the outlet replied.
The new show will first air two episodes on Disney Channel on October 29 at 8/7c, according to Deadline.
Then, the first eight will drop the next day on Disney+.
Wizards of Waverly Place had 21 episodes for Season 1, 30 for Season 2, 28 for Season 3, and 27 for Season 4.
Many of the recent Disney+ original series including Monsters at Work, Star Wars The Acolyte, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and more, typically have 10 episodes or less per season.

ABOUT THE SEQUEL
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will also see Mimi Gianopulos, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Janice LeAnn Brown, and Taylor Cora in the main roles.
Selena will have a recurring role as Alex Russo, Justin’s sister, and the main character of the original series.
David DeLuise, who played their dad Jerry Russo, and Maria Canals-Barrera, who played their mom Theresa Russo, will also have guest roles.
Jake T. Austin, who played Alex and Justin’s brother, Max, is also coming back.
However, Jennifer Stone, who played Harper, Alex’s best friend who had a huge crush on Justin, was not seen anywhere in the promo.
Selena and David are executive producing the series.
Disney alums Raven-Symone and Danielle Fishel are set to direct an episode each this season.
