In 2013, Dakota was spotted by paparazzi holding bands with British model Jamie Strachan, but their relationship only lasted two years.
They even attended the 2016 Met Gala together.
In a 2016 interview with Town & Country, the performer didn’t get into details about her breakup.
“The way I prefer to meet someone is through a friend [since it means the other person] is most likely not a freak,” she said at the time.
“I find dates, in general, horrific. We have to sit there and ask these questions and pretend to eat a meal, and it just feels so stiff.”

In 2018, Dakota was then spotted cozying up to Henry Frye on a few occasions in New York City.
They were first seen together on February 6 of that year at a basketball game at Madison Square Garden.
The two cuddled up together and showed off major PDA.

Months later in May, Dakota and Henry attended the Prada fashion show.

‘MORE IMPORTANT TO ME THAN ANYTHING’
Dakota has been successful at keeping her dating life private, however, she recently dished on wanting a family in the future.
In an interview with Porter, she said, “Being an actor is a huge part of my identity. I don’t really know who I am without it.
“But I also have a desire to set up my life and career so that I always have a choice.
“Having kids is probably more important to me than anything, even being an actor.”
“If somebody said I had to choose, I would choose having kids. I’m one of those people who has always felt that pull,” she explained.
