Carrie, 41, was personally selected to sing ‘America The Beautiful’ as the former reality star took the oath of office.

She was plagued by technical problems and was forced to perform the song acapella.

The country icon invited everyone present in the Capitol rotunda to join in with the words and sing along in her special rendition.

When she finished, she shared the round of applause with the gathered crowd in a gesture of appreciation and support.

After the performance she then proceeded to shake the hands of Joe Biden as well as Donald Trump and Vice president JD Vance.

This was before she appeared with her husband Mike, 44, and her nine-year-old son.

The pair share two children together, Isiah and Jacob, six, together.

After she belted out the iconic tune, the Blown Away hitmaker was joined by part of her brood at the ceremony.

Young Isiah looked dapper as he accompanied the country star at the historic event.

He looked the image of his ice hockey star father as they both sported matching suits, crisp white shirts.

Carrie Underwood’s future on American Idol revealed as ‘blindsided’ producers are ‘angry’ over inauguration performance

Both looks were completed with bold red satin ties as they made their way out of the venue.

Meanwhile, the Denim & Rhinestones recording artist wore a neutral teal blue sleeveless dress.

Her blonde locks were styled into stylish waves as she took to the platform in front of the likes of Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris.

This comes after Idol producers were allegedly left ‘blindsided’ by the singer performing at the 47th Presidential Inauguration.

Carrie Underwood’s Family

The American Idol winner had relationships with Chace Crawford and Tony Romo but she ultimately walked down the aisle with Mike Fisher.

Mike is a Canadian retired hockey player from Peterborough, Ontario.

In October 1999, Fisher made his NHL debut with the Ottawa Senators.

He played for the Senators until he was traded to the Nashville Predators.

One of the reasons he agreed to the trade was so he could be close to his wife Carrie.

On December 20, 2009, Carrie and her former hockey captain hubby announced their engagement.

On July 10, 2010, Carrie Underwood and Mike tied the knot after almost two years of dating.

More than 250 people were in attendance at their wedding ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Greensboro, Georgia.

Carrie’s engagement ring from Mike features a yellow diamond and was valued at $150K.

In February 2015, the couple welcomed their first child; a son named Isaiah.

In January 2019, the singer and the pro athlete expanded their family further with the birth of their second son Jacob.

A source told The U.S. Sun that execs reportedly learned of the news when it was officially announced to the rest of the world and are “not happy” about the upcoming season now being politicised.

However, a source close to the singing competition claimed that the songstress is not going anywhere – for now.

She will replace Katy Perry on the upcoming season of the long running talent contest after winning the fourth series in 2005.

“Carrie’s job is not in jeopardy” and as of now, there are “no talks of firing her. She will continue her role as a judge,” an insider said.
