LOOKING worlds away from her acting heyday in the 1970s, 80s and 90s, this Golden Globe winner was unrecognizable on a recent outing.
Known for playing the role of Jacy Farrow in Peter Bogdanovich’s coming-of-age drama The Last Picture Show alongside Jeff Bridges, the famous star was seen on Monday, 54 years on from the starring role.
Wearing some blue jeans, some black trainers with white soles, and a bright blue shirt, the 74-year-old Memphis-born actress was almost unrecognizable – even to her biggest fans.
With her blond hair tied back and off of her face, and some sunglasses covering her eyes, the star of Moonlighting was seen stopping for groceries with her assistant earlier this week.
That’s it, you’ve got it, it’s Cybill Shepherd.
The star’s career began in the 70s, with her rising to global prominence in the 1980s as Maddie Hayes on the detective drama, Moonlighting.
Cybill starred alongside Bruce Willis in the hit drama, which followed her character of Maddie get convinced by David (played by Bruce) to become a partner in the detective agency.
In the drama series, which ran for three years, they solved various cases and grew closer to one another.
But despite Cybill and Bruce’s undeniable on-screen chemistry, in real life the duo had a tense relationship.
Cybill even once admitted that they “hated each other” while working together.
In 2005, when asked about their frosty off-screen relationship, Cybill spilled: “I remember at one point in the show, it had gotten to where we just hated each other.”
LOVE FOR BRUCE
Despite not seeing eye-to-eye, Cybill was devastated when Bruce was diagnosed with aphasia, telling fans she would “always love him”.
In 2022, amid his retirement announcement, Cybill revealed her crush on him before gushing over her love for him.
“My temperature went up 10 degrees.
“That meant two things to me: one, I was very attracted to him, two, I would never act on it, ’cause we were both very attracted to each other,” she said of their chemistry while on the show.
She added: “I will always love Bruce.”

VARIOUS ACTING ROLES
The actress then went on to star in The Heartbreak Kid in 1972, Daisy Miller in 1974, and Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver in 1976.
After her success in Monlighting, Cybill went on to act in a sitcom named after herself, playing a character loosely based on herself.
The show received positive reviews for its humor and social commentary.
In more recent years she went on to star in The L Word and How I Met Your Mother.
