DJ Khaled is the latest rapper to receive an ominous black coffin on his doorstep as the Grammy Award-winning producer is dragged back into his reported feud with Drake.
The creepy makeshift casket, with an upside-down white cross in the center and the words “RIP Drake” and “RIP OVO” written on it, was left outside the front gate of DJ Khaled’s Florida home on Saturday evening.
Two people pulled up to Khaled’s Miami residence in a truck and claimed to be from a delivery company, according to TMZ.
When the people were granted access to the property by Khaled’s team, they proceeded to place the coffin outside the gate and reportedly got down on their knees to pray.
The two people then returned to the truck and drove off, according to the outlet.
Miami police told the outlet Khaled’s security team destroyed the casket and disposed of it.
The sinister act occurred two days after controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine also received a similar black casket outside his Miami home on February 13.
Tekashi 6ix9ine told TMZ his fake casket was scribbled with the name of his deceased nemesis King Von.
On the evening of February 13, two men, who were given permission to enter the gated community, drove up to the rapper’s residence in a Tesla and dropped off a coffin along with a bouquet of flowers and a pet box.
The casket also had an upside-down white cross but had the words “RIP King Von” written on it.
Similar to Khaled’s incident, the men said they were delivery men dropping off a package.
Palm Beach Sheriff officials dispatched a Bomb Squad to 6ix9ine’s home after being called about the hair-raising delivery.
Authorities inspected the coffin and pet box but no explosives and only hand sanitizer in the box, according to TMZ.
Tekashi 6ix9ine brushed off the incident, telling the outlet he wanted to keep the coffin.
“I’m pretty sad. I wanted to keep the King Von coffin and put it in my room, but the police had to confiscate it,” he said.
“I wanted to sleep in the coffin to feel what it was like to be King Von for a day.”
RAP BEEF
The crude Brooklyn-born rapper, 28, has been feuding with King Von for years, even after the Crazy Story lyricist was fatally shot in Atlanta in November 2020.
Meanwhile, tension between DJ Khaled and Drake first emerged when the We The Best Music Group founder, 49, teased that he had secured two features with the 6 God rapper for his forthcoming album, Aalam of God.
Khaled shared a seven-minute action-movie trailer for his album, which featured actors Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Ramos.
However, Drake disputed Khaled’s claims, commenting on a post, “Must be @Drakebell.”
Khaled then scrapped the trailer entirely from his social media platforms as the status of his features with Drake remain unclear.
