THE VALLEY’s Kristen Doute is expected to move to Colorado with her fiance Luke Broderick after their baby’s birth despite the show filming in Los Angeles, the U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.
The former Vanderpump Rules star is expecting her first child with her longtime partner and as they start their family, it seems the couple will be trading valley low’s for mountain high’s.
Kristen, 42, has lived in Los Angeles for nearly 20 years after moving to the big city from Michigan to pursue her modeling and acting career.
Meanwhile, Luke still calls Colorado home and spends a lot of time there – though he resides in LA with Kristen part-time as well.
The reality TV stars have previously discussed on The Valley about struggling between wanting to remain in Los Angeles or deciding to move North and raise their baby in Colorado.
Now, The U.S. Sun can reveal that after the couple welcomes their little one, they will be spending more time in Colorado – though that doesn’t mean she’s closing the door on The Valley.
“Luke has been very open about wanting to raise the baby in Colorado and not LA. He doesn’t feel at home in LA and Kristen knows that.
“To her though, LA is home so they have struggled with figuring out how to balance their lifestyles.
“For now, they have decided that after the baby comes, Kristen will move and go with Luke to Colorado, at least most of the year,” a source claimed.
The insider added: “If The Valley is picked up for season 3, which they predict will be the case, they will still absolutely be part of the show.
“And if anything they will go down to LA for the Summer to film but primary raise the baby in Colorado around his family.”
Luke owns a home in Colorado Springs, CO – equipped with five bedrooms and a large grassy backyard, making it perfect for growing their family.
The spacious property marks a stark contrast from the two-bedroom Valley Village apartment Kristen has lived in since early 2024.
AIN’T NO VALLEY LOW
On season one of Bravo’s hit show The Valley, cameras documented Kristen and Luke struggling to be on the same page with where they will call home in the future.
Luke outright admitted that “no part” of him ever wanted to permanently live in LA, while Kristen has maintained that being on the West Coast is crucial for her.
“California is important to me, I can’t leave California like tomorrow or next year or the year after, but I think giving it a couple of years, maybe.
“But I just moved three times in a year, I can’t do it again,” she confessed to Luke during dinner on the show.
Luke was adamant on his position though, and argued back: “Everything I’ve built up in life, everything I’ve worked toward has been accumulating in Colorado.
“We also have a better circle, I think, of people that are true, down-to-earth, good people.”
He added that Hollywood is “awful” due to it’s high prices, saying: “I mean, a 3-year-old’s preschool tuition at a private school is what I paid for college tuition.
“No part of me wants to move to LA.”
Kristen appeared to be coming around, and said in a later interview: “I am not married to living in L.A. and I know that is Luke’s non-negotiable.
“But,I’m really trying to get Luke to flirt with the idea of staying in California.”
The Valley dropped their season two trailer on Monday – showcasing the changing dynamics between the pregnant star and her soon-to-be husband.
It also will show the explosive divorce between Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright – as well as the nasty split with Jesse and Michelle Lally.
The Valley’s season two will premiere on Bravo on April 15 at 9 pm ET.
