When you think of Michelin-starred menus, you probably think of fine-wine, molecular gastronomy and triple figure bills.

But new research has shown there are dozens of Michelin-starred restaurants where you can get two courses for just £30 or less.

Banking provider thinkmoney analysed the menus of all 148 restaurants with one or two Michelin stars and found there are 45 restaurants across the UK where you can dine for under £40 per person, and in 20 of them you can dine for just £30 or less for two courses.

Half of the restaurants are in London, perhaps due to the fact the capital dominates the UK’s Michelin-starred restaurants, taking 13 of the 20 new stars given out this year.
