Daisy Lowe has revealed her how her mother Pearl sobriety sparked an interest in  wellness techniques during an interview on Loose Women on Friday.

The model, 32, was joined by her mum and former singer-songwriter Pearl Lowe, who admitted: ‘I’ve always been a bit witchy’.

Daisy also credited her ‘mum’s sobriety’ for their newfound bond, after Pearl, 51, quit drugs and alcohol some 17 years ago.

Speaking to the panel via video link, Daisy revealed: ‘I love mediation, I love crystals and salt healing baths. If I’ve had a hard day that’s how I wash it off.’

‘I do it first thing when I wake up every morning so my phone doesn’t get in the way. It organises my head. Without it I’m frazzled.’

She admitted: ‘My mum’s sobriety definitely helped, we’ve always done wellness things together.’

Her fashion designer mum then chimed in, adding: ‘I’ve always been a bit witchy. She [Daisy] knows everything she’s studied it all.’

Proving her knowledge, Daisy said: ‘Rose quartz is good for sleeping. Rhinestone is an antidepressant, so is amber. They could just be placebo but they’re all beautiful too. It’s for protection.’

‘If you carry it with you and believe it then it will work,’ said Pearl.

In 2019, Pearl spoke to Grazia about going sober, saying: ‘I’ve been sober nearly 15 years now, when I look at old pictures I just think, ‘My god, who is that person?”

Her lesson was well and truly learned when the mum-of-four found one of her young sons holding a bag of her drugs – when she realised how bad the outcome could have been for her child, she quit for good.

She recalled her former days on Loose Women, saying: ‘I used to do anything to make myself feel better, self medicate.’

‘I was 42 when I had an early menopause. I didn’t even know what it was because none of my older friends ever discussed it with me.’

‘I thought HRT might give me breast cancer but I was told it’s a myth by my GP. I went on it [HRT] and it was life changing,’ the fashionista said.

‘I think I’ve always had a hormone imbalance since I was 15 and it made me depressed with a cloud over my head. Now I wake up feeling great.’
