Joseph Dodd may be only nine years old, but he’s already inspiring others!

With help from his mom, he wrote a book that helps kids embrace the things that make them unique.

Joseph was talking with his mom, Jo, about how each of their family members like and dislike different things. Even at such a young age, he already has an understanding that every person is unique in their own way.

“We all like different things, and that’s A-OK with me,” Joseph said to his mom. As soon as she heard him say that, she knew it would make the perfect title for a book.

It would soon become the title of the book they wrote together. Reading and writing this book really helped Joseph’s confidence soar.

He has a learning disability, but realizes that he is capable of doing anything he puts his mind too.

The main theme of the book that Joseph hopes kids will learn is that people are all different and don’t have to be the same.

He and his mom also hope to spread awareness about learning disabilities, and to let kids like Joseph know that there is nothing wrong with having a challenge with reading or writing.

Joseph and Jo loved writing the book together so much that they plan on writing even more in the near future.

The two of them went onto Good Morning America to discuss their new book, which you can watch in the video below:
