According to El Chiringuito TV, Real Madrid have ruled out signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. The Norwegian is expected to join the Premier League in the summer, according to Los Blancos.
Since joining Borussia Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in January of last year, Haaland has been in blistering form. In 69 appearances for the Bundesliga giants, the 21-year-old has scored 70 goals and provided 19 assists. The Norwegian’s performances for Borussia Dortmund have piqued the interest of some of the world’s most powerful clubs. Real Madrid, a La Liga giant, is said to be interested in Haaland, who also has admirers in the Premier League.
Haaland’s contract with Borussia Dortmund is set to expire in three years. However, the striker is expected to leave the German club at the end of the season, as a €75 million release clause is set to take effect next summer.
