A cosmetic dentist who shot to fame with a dramatic body transformation by quitting booze has been fined for drink driving after crashing his Mercedes.
Dr Rohan Sahdev, 29, had more than twice the legal alcohol limit in his blood when he hit another car in Liverpool in July 2020.
The Liverpool University graduate was handed a lengthy ban and told to pay more than £4,000 in fines.
Four years ago he was dubbed one of the ‘city’s hottest dentists’ after turning a beer belly into a six-pack in nine months.
At the time he claimed cutting alcohol from his diet had helped him lose almost two stone and build muscle.
Dr Rohan Sahdev, 29, had more than twice the legal alcohol limit in his blood when he hit another car in Liverpool in July 2020
But prosecutors said Sahdev was well over the limit when he crashed into a black Audi on July 4, 2020, and appeared drunk when found by members of the public.
The dentist then left his car before returning and being found by police around an hour later.
A breathalyser found he had a blood alcohol level of 81 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of blood, more than double the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.
Sahdev argued last month he was over the legal limit because he had drunk alcohol in the aftermath of the crash but magistrates found him guilty at a trial on October.

He was sentenced at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court today for drink driving and failing to stop after an accident.
Sahdev was disqualified from driving for 20 months. He was also fined £4,035 and ordered to pay £650 in costs and a £190 victim surcharge.
In 2017, the dentist featured in an article about losing two stone of weight and building muscle.
The then 25-year-old told how he struggled to keep the fat off after being a student for seven years, topping off at 16 stone.

But he started hitting the gym heavily and eating properly, shifting the flab and building muscle.
He started going six days a week and focused mostly on bodybuilding with one cardio session a week.
He said: ‘Strict dieting wasn’t maintainable for me, but flexible dieting is something I find a lot easier to carry out and maintain.
‘I love eating out. It’s a cliché but balance is key. It definitely gives me something to look forward to and keeps me motivated.’
