Kevin George Knipfing, was born on 26 April 1965, in Mineola, New York State USA, of part-German descent through his father. Commonly known as Kevin James, he is an actor and voice actor, film and television producer,  as well as a comedian, and is perhaps best recognised for portraying the character of Doug Heffernan in the popular television show “The King of Queens”,  aired on screens between 1998 and 2007.
