Who is Michael Fearon ?
This is the funny moment when a dog didn’t understand the difference between a knock on a table and a knock on the door.
The footage begins with the dog’s owner, Michael Fearon, narrating that he was about to help his two-year-old Poppy understand when someone was at the door.
Mr Fearon, 34, of Bracknell, Berkshire, showed his fist to his dog for the first time. Then he pointed to the black wooden desk next to him.
The dog looked attentively. But as soon as Mr. Fearon hit the desk with this fist, Poppy started barking and ran to see who was at the front door.
Frustrated with his failure, Mr. Fearon jokingly calls Poppy an idiot, but has decided to try again to train the dog to understand.
He said: ‘This video is my effort to train my dog that just because I hear a knock, that doesn’t mean someone is at the door.
“ In the end, this fails when he starts barking and runs to check the front door, before turning to give me one last bark. ”

Frustrated by his failure, Mr. Fearon called Poppy an “idiot”.
Mr. Fearon has had Poppy, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier / German Shepherd cross, since he was a puppy.
He said that despite not teaching him to discern between punches, “they will keep working on it.”
He said: ‘She gets really excited when the door knocks because she wants to meet everyone and play with them.
“ But she reacts to any previous hit, so she was just trying to show him that not all hits guarantee a visitor. ”
