Dylan Spellman, who was convicted of murder, sexually raped Mollie Olgin before shooting her with a gun. Mollie was 19 years old when she was brutally murdered on June 22, 2012, in Violet Andrews Park in Portland, Texas.
When Mollie died at the murder scene, she was also living with her then-girlfriend Mary Kristene “Kris” Chapa. Under a viewing platform, their bodies were discovered.
According to police testimony, Mollie and Kris, a lesbian couple, were sexually assaulted and shot in the head at midnight the night before.

Kris was rushed to the hospital because his condition was critical. When Kris regained consciousness, authorities drew a sketch of the perpetrators and distributed it to newspapers and law enforcement agencies.

Dylan, according to reports, is the perpetrator. Spellman had been charged with and convicted of armed robbery in Nevada only a few months prior.
In Nevada, Spellman and his accomplice were recently convicted of armed robbery. He and a friend broke into a house and tied and bound the residents, including a child, using numbers to identify each other.
