If you’ve heard rumors of Prime Day 2.0 and have been wondering, When is Amazon Prime Day happening again? Well, you’re in luck: Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale will arrive on October 11 and 12, and bring a slew of deals with it.

Just one month from Black Friday and on the precipice of the holiday shopping season, this two-day sales event will offer up hundreds of thousands of deals across Amazon’s site. The only catch is you need to be an Amazon Prime member in order to join this shopping event and take advantage of its exclusive deals, so sign up for a first-time free 30-day trial while you can. On top of Prime Day access, subscribers can enjoy perks like free shipping, four free months of Amazon Music, and exclusive Prime Video deals. If you missed last July’s Prime Day sale, here’s your chance to save big on the online retailer’s famous two-day sale event.

What do we know about the Prime Early Access Sale right now?

While Amazon is not officially calling this a second Prime Day, (its official sale event name is Prime Early Access Sale) we can guess we’ll see similar markdowns to a Prime Day level event. Between this and July’s Prime Day event, 2022 is the first year to hold two sales of this caliber (last year, the one and only Prime Day took place in late June).

The deals we’re expecting to see include tech deals on Amazon devices like the Kindle, Alexa-enabled Echo Dot, and Fire TV Stick, as well as on gadgets like laptops, Apple Watches, robot vacuums, smart TVs, and iPads. Not to be outdone, we’re expecting to see deals on home goods, pet supplies, clothing, beauty products, fitness equipment, outdoor gear, and more. And, for those who are quick on the draw, keep your eye out for ultra-time-sensitive lightning deals, which could very well make an appearance again.

If you simply cannot wait, Prime members can browse early Amazon deals now and prep their wishlists for when the sale officially starts on October 11.

Is this deal event exclusive to Amazon?

While the Prime Day Early Access Sale is an Amazon-specific sale, it’s not unusual to see sales kick off at other major retailers around the same time. Back in July for Prime Day, we saw competitor deals crop up at Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Nordstrom, and more. If part of the fun for you is hunting for the lowest price, you’ll likely have your pick of several stores this time around too. We can predict that the Prime Day Early Access Sale will mean competitive deals ahead of the holidays.

Early Prime Day deals

October 11 isn’t for another few weeks, but in the meantime, here are some of our most popular Amazon Prime Day deals from July. There’s a chance they’ll go on sale as part of the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, so bookmark them now and wait for the prices to drop. If you want to get your gift shopping done at Amazon and avoid shipping delays, there are great deals to be had at Amazon right now. We’ll be keeping an eye on the best Prime Day deals ahead and through the October sales event.
