IT seems Adele is ready to bid farewell to her Las Vegas residency after two years.
The Easy On Me hitmaker revealed on Friday that her current Vegas run of Weekends With . . . shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is likely to be her last.
She said: “This really is the beginning of the end. There are no other f***g shows.
“I’m not going to be like, ‘Surprise!’ This is the end.
“It’s [the 100th and final show] the weekend before Thanksgiving, isn’t it? And that’s the last one. I don’t have any plans to be on stage indefinitely, really.
The megastar added: “They say that if you want things and you are looking for things in life, you have to pay the universe and then it pays you back tenfold.
“I feel like that’s what’s happened with this show for me. My life is a thousand times better.
“My life, not my career, not my music. I’m talking about my actual life. And I really, truly think that this show has been my best fg friend throughout all of that.
“And I’m so genuinely sad.”
At Friday’s gig Adele paid tribute to Meryl Streep, by dressing up as the Oscar winner’s character Madeline Ashton from hit 1992 film Death Becomes Her.
And when she spotted Meryl in the front row of the audience, Adele curtseyed.
Hugging the Hollywood icon, Adele said: “Hello. What a f*****g honour. I love you.”
Some insiders at Caesars Palace have claimed that even playing two days a week had “taken its toll” on the London-born artist, who has had vocal issues and cord surgeries in the past.
She cancelled several shows this year because of a throat problem.
A source revealed: “There was talk that Vegas would be the start of Adele doing a lot more big performances.
“But plans and opportunities were simply abandoned . . . because of issues like health worries, fears for protecting her voice and desire to be close to family.”
Like Adele sang in Bond movie Skyfall, perhaps this really is the end.
JACK IT UP NOEL
NOEL GALLAGHER has dusted off his Union Jack guitar to take on tour.
The painted Epiphone Sheraton was in Liverpool’s British Music Experience after it was famously used by the star ahead of OASIS’s 1996 Knebworth dates.
But a source said: “Noel is a massive guitar geek and his beloved Epiphone with the Union Flag looks set to be coming on tour with Oasis next year.
“It could be part of a travelling museum with all the great guitars of Oasis throughout the decades.”
PURPLE REIGN OF PRINCESS BEYONCE
BEYONCE certainly reigned over Halloween as she dressed up as Prince.
The American superstar looked incredible as she channelled the late pop star from the 1984 Purple Rain film.
Bey looked every inch the rock princess as she posed with a purple guitar and lounged on the bonnet of a little red Corvette – a nod to Prince’s song from his hit album, 1999.
She also transformed into American actress Apollonia, who co-starred in the film, as she gritted her teeth and clutched her breasts wearing purple opera gloves.
I am told Bey decided to look like Prince as a soft launch to her “rock era” which is likely to serve as inspo for her next album.
All hail Queen B.
PALOMA PAL NAUGHTY
NAUGHTY BOY’s next album will include a collaboration with Paloma Faith as well as featuring several chart-topping UK and global artists.
The La La La hitmaker told me: “I really enjoyed the song I’ve done with Paloma, I love her.
“She is a star and the song we’ve done is like a classic Naughty Boy and Paloma collab. I’d play it to you now if I could!”
He added: “My album should be out early next year and there will be names you will know.”
Naughty last worked with Paloma in 2013 on a track called Lost Ones, which also featured Tinie Tempah.
More recently she has been speaking about her break-up with husband Leyman Lahcine after ten years.
Paloma said: “I was so broken, I think I had a nervous breakdown.
“It is difficult for me to remember much of it because I was so sad and full of guilt and shame.”
Meanwhile Naughty has been reflecting on his early days, at last week’s Ethnicity Awards in London.
He said: “When I started I didn’t really have an identity – people didn’t know that I was brown, Pakistani and Muslim.
“Looking back on it, I would always want to inspire the upcoming ethnic origin people.
“That is the power I have, to inspire the future musicians.”
BABES SEE XCX FACTOR
SUGABABES singer Mutya Buena has revealed that British chart-topper Charli XCX is at the top of the group’s wish list for a collab.
The Push The Button hitmakers recently announced their “biggest ever” UK and European tour, starting in Leeds next April.
And asked who the band would love to work with, Mutya said: “Definitely Charli XCX but I’ve never met her.”
She added: “The Neptunes, Pharrell Williams – we love working with such creative minds.”
The original trio, which also includes Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy, will be giving fans new music in time for the launch of their tour.
Siobhan has said of the new album: “It’s very close to being finished, and we’re really excited about it.”
Fans are in for a treat.
ONLYFANS model Lottie Moss, little sis of supermodel Kate, fancies herself on the Strictly Come Dancing line-up next year.
Given the difficulty that the BBC One show has had signing people up I reckon she stands a chance.
Lottie said: “Hopefully I’ll be asked to take part in the show next year.”
Perhaps she could use it as a vehicle to find love, like many have before her.
She said: “I’m single. I’ve just come out of a relationship, and just having fun and focusing on me.
“I literally don’t get anyone sliding into my DMs of interest, just really random guys, but no-one that I would probably date, or who even lives in London.”
That’s an invitation chaps . . .
LE PAGE TAKES LE PLUNGE?
LOVE Islander Andrew Le Page has hinted that he is ready to pop the question to his girlfriend-of-two-years Tasha Ghouri.
The blonde bombshell is currently acing her Strictly Come Dancing stint with her pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec.
Asked about proposing to Tasha this Christmas at the launch of Karaoke Box Smithfield in London, Andrew said: “That’s for me to know and everyone else to find out, but she’s a keeper.
“My Saturday nights have changed, from going out to watching Strictly, but I can’t complain.
“It’s Tasha’s dream . . . she’s loving every second of it.
“She’ll want a holiday afterwards, she’s been very busy, she’s earned it.”
Tasha would make a beautiful bride . . .
PETE DOHERTY and Carl Barat performed on stage with the same energy they did twenty years ago.
The Libertines have a unique bond and for 90 minutes this lucky crowd were part of their gang.
Pete’s son Astile read out a poem, introduced by proud dad, before a whistlestop tour of their hits, with classics such as What Katie Did, Can’t Stand Me Now and What Became Of The Likely Lads.
Fans seemed happy to risk life and limb in the mosh pit and they didn’t hold back throwing themselves about to Gunga Din.
The ’Tines also know how to keep fans happy with their new music and the crowd loved the radio-friendly Run Run Run.
Two decades in, it feels like The Libertines have only just got started.
DAISY CAR SO RACY
DAISY MAY COOPER will be no stranger to flash cars if she’s confirmed as the new “M” in the next James Bond movie.
We revealed in March she was in the frame to fill Dame Judi Dench’s spy master role, But Daisy’s favourite motor isn’t 007’s classic Aston Martin – it’s a Vauxhall Corsa.
She’s so enamoured with the small vehicle – she lost her virginity in one!
When asked on Kathy Burke’s Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake podcast how she wants to be transported to her own funeral, Daisy said: “It’s got to be a Vauxhall Corsa because I’ve sh*gged in so many in my youth. I lost my virginity in the back of one.”
