AMANDA Bynes has made a new announcement on social media about her desired weight loss after the new Nickelodeon documentary aired.
Amanda, 37, has been reintroduced to the limelight after Investigation Discovery and HBO Max’s new docuseries Quiet On Set was released.
The docuseries interviewed several women and child actors who worked on Nickelodeon from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.
Actors from All That and The Amanda Show, both of which starred Amanda, spoke out about the mistreatment on set.
Although she was not featured in the doc, Amanda’s name was brought up several times concerning writer and producer Dan Schnieder.
Schnieder was accused of workplace harassment and discriminatory behavior, but no charges were ever filed.
Many fans have speculated that Amanda has a lot of horror stories from her time on set, but she has chosen to remain silent.
The actress has been struggling with her mental health in recent years, and her main focus has been getting her life back on track.
On Thursday, she took to her Instagram Story to announce the next step in her health journey – weight loss.
She wrote: “I’ve gained over 20 lbs in the past few months from being depressed.
“I’m doing a lot better now and have learned to do the opposite action when I don’t feel like working out or eating clean.
“I weigh 162 lbs right now and want to get back to 110 lbs.”
LAST YEAR’S HURDLE
In June 2023, Amanda was taken into police custody to undergo a mental health evaluation.
She was arrested after officers received a call about a woman in distress, according to TMZ.
Afterward, it was confirmed that Amanda called 911 on herself so she could be properly evaluated.
Witnesses claimed she was calm during the incident, although she looked somber.
At the scene, she was placed in the back of a cop car before being transported to the station.
This came only a few weeks after Amanda was found wandering the streets before being rushed to the hospital.
She was seen in downtown Los Angeles all alone without any clothes on, TMZ reported.
She then flagged down a car, informed the driver she was at the end of a psychotic episode, and proceeded to call 911 herself.
She was detained on a psych hold for several days before being released.
In the past year, Amanda seems to be doing much better as she works on new projects and her podcast.
