The Heart Breakfast host has a mantra which she follows: “Life is too short to be strict.”

Incredibly, the mum-of-two isn’t on a diet either.

She said: “I don’t believe in half-fat anything. I have full-fat yoghurt, butter and cheese.

“And I splurge on weekends. I love wine. I eat everything. Drink everything.

“I had a friend once who didn’t make it to her 50s and her biggest regret was she spent her life on a diet. I don’t diet. I think a little bit of everything is fine.”

The actress follows a vegetarian diet and hasn’t had meat since she was 15 but does eat fish.

So surely it is down to how much she exercises? No. Holden claims she isn’t the biggest exercise fan and doesn’t go to the gym either.

However, she does run a few times a week and takes part in yoga.

Previously speaking to The Mirror, Holden claimed: “We’ve got big cheeks in our family and good jawlines. So I think as long as that’s all staying like that, I don’t mind.

“I don’t think I look 50 but I don’t think I look 30. I have been called Mandy Button in the past, which is such a flattering thing!

“I do look after myself, I run, I do yoga, I’m a vegetarian.

“But I do love a drink. I don’t deny myself anything. After lockdown, I just think, ‘Don’t deny yourself now, just enjoy life’. If you want a glass of wine or a doughnut, have one.”

“I think I had more of a wobble when I turned 30. I got divorced and I was like ‘S***, I’m 30. I’m supposed to be having children and stuff at this point’.

“But at 50 I just went, ‘Yeah, I’m 50, I feel fabulous and I just don’t care’.”

Some of the things she loves to eat includes “avocado, chickpeas and quinoa salads.”

The BGT judges’ children, Lexi and Hollie, are also vegetarian while her husband Chris is a meat eater.

Another part of Holden’s health regime is that she likes to go on a juice cleanse. Speaking to the goodto.com, she said: “Once a week, I stick to juicing all day, then have a healthy meal in the evening.

“I like cucumber, spinach, apples and lime. I always notice a difference in my skin.”

However, if you plan to follow a mini juice cleanse like the actress seek approval from your GP first.

Going on a juice cleanse claims to not only give you clearer skin, a mood boost but also detoxes the liver. The presenter is also a big lover of coconut water and drinks “loads.”
