If you had any doubts that Amnesty International opposes the very existence of Israel, its government director simply made it crystal-clear: Addressing the Women’s National Democratic Club, Paul O’Brien introduced his “gut” perception that even “Jewish people in this country” assume Israel “shouldn’t exist as a Jewish state.”

In actuality, as even left-wing Jewish outfit J Street famous, polling reveals the overwhelming majority of American Jews “support Israel’s future as a democratic state and homeland for the Jewish people.”

So do most Americans, interval. But the AI chief plainly solely talks to individuals who share his prejudices.

O’Brien later tried to cowl himself by tweeting that the Jewish folks have a “legitimate concern” about their existence and “that needs to be part of the conversation.” But he stands by the brand new AI report accusing Israel of “apartheid,” when Israeli Arabs are simply the freest Arabs within the Middle East.

As William Daroff of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations famous, “It is now abundantly clear that [Amnesty is] firmly entrenched in the cadre of extremist anti-Israel provocateurs.”

Bottom line: Amnesty’s present management (at the least) places left-wing dogma forward of all different concerns, milking its status to push the lockstep “progressive” agenda.
