It’s hard to imagine a worse, intentionally created situation along the U.S.-Mexico border than the crisis foisted on the American people by Joe Biden, his serial-lying Department of Homeland Security head, Alejandro Mayorkas, and other members of the administration.

Is it any wonder?
In his first days in office, Biden stopped construction of the Trump border wall; ended the Trump-era travel bans; created the Family Reunification Task Force to find and reunify families separated under the Trump administration, and reinstated DACA — Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals — the program that shields so-called Dreamers from deportation.
The fact remains: Biden could have staged welcoming mariachi bands along the border and pinatas for the kids, and the crisis wouldn’t have been noticeably worse. Yet, according to the serial-lying Mayorkas, the southern border is not only secure; DHS has “operational control.”

Just one problem. When Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn.) asked Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz in the Department of Homeland Security has operational control of the entire southern border, the chief, without hesitation, turned Mayorkas into a liar.
No sir. The migration flow represents challenges and, in some areas, a crisis situation.
Mayorkas was unavailable for comment (more lying lies).

As reported by the Washington Examiner, Ortiz’s written testimony (which was undoubtedly written by the Biden White House), blamed the border crisis on “evolving global and regional events.” But in person, according to the Examiner:
Ortiz testified that the “driving force” of the calamity was Biden’s policies. Asked by Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.) if the switch from “detain and remove” to “release” was the cause of the crisis, Ortiz responded, “Law enforcement’s pretty simple, sir. You have to have capacity, and you have to have consequences. And anytime you don’t have consequences, you are certainly going to see some increases.”
“Some,” indeed — and then “some” whole lot more, to the tune of 5.5 million illegal aliens crossing the southern border into the U.S. since Biden’s first day of office, as of October 25, 2022. And the truth, regardless of his protestations to the contrary (while blaming the policies of Donald Trump, of course)?
Joe Biden couldn’t care less. In fact, I’d bet a dollar that he wishes the number was higher.
Remember, Biden promised as a candidate in 2016 to release illegal aliens into the country who were arrested after illegally crossing the border. On his first day in office, he ordered the Border Patrol to do that. Illegals gleefully responded — and the surge continues, with no signs of slowing down, let alone stopping.
As the Examiner further reported:
[Biden’s] complete failure to enforce immigration law extends far beyond the border. In former President Barack Obama’s last year in office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported 138,669 convicted criminal illegal immigrants from the U.S. interior. In former President Donald Trump’s last pre-COVID-19 year in office, that number was 150,141.
Not only did it fall to just 38,000 last year under Biden, but the president’s latest budget says he only plans to deport 29,000 this year. This comes at a time when Biden is letting record numbers of illegal immigrants into the country, so one would expect a lot more, not fewer, to be convicted of crimes meriting deportation.
Both Biden and Mayorkas should be impeached, convicted, and charged with treason.
Neither will even come close to happening, of course. Meanwhile, our serial-lying president and serial-lying head of the Department of Homeland Security continue to do their damnedest to permanently change the demographic composition of the still-greatest country on earth.
