Avril Lavigne screamed and was left open-mouthed when fellow musician Yungblud cut off her famously long hair in a shock new video posted to Instagram on Tuesday.
The singer, 38, roared ‘NO!’ and demanded alcohol as she sat down in a chair for the British singer, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, 25, to give her the chop.
‘I need a beer, I need a beer,’ she said, looking concerned.

But before she could express having second thoughts, out came Yungblud’s scissors and he lopped off one half of her hair in one go.
‘I’m going to cut it into a bob for you,’ said Yungblud laughing as he snipped off the other side.
Avril is thought to have hair extensions but the cut was still a drastic one and it’s thought the stunt was done for their new song, I’m A Mess, which Avril referenced in the caption.

Into it: Her fiancé Mod Sun wrote that he is a big fan of her new look and Avril added that she couldn’t believe what she had done
Her fiancé, Mod Sun, real name Derek Smith, was a big fan of the new look.
He wrote in the comments: ‘Haircut looks great! U did well @yungblud ✂️ new song maybe?’
She replied: ‘I can’t believe we did this to my hair hahah.’
The post comes after Avril, Paramore and Landon Barker were forced to CANCEL shows at When We Were Young music festival due to high winds in Las Vegas
The announcement came just an hour before the gates were to be opened, allowing thousands of music lovers to arrive for the October 22 shows.
As she was: Avril has always sported very long hair, thought to be extensions, as well as colourful dyed sections
A statement on the festival website read, ‘When We Were Young Festival organizers have spent the last several days proactively preparing the festival grounds for a windy Saturday.’
‘The National Weather Service has now upgraded their Saturday forecast to a High Wind Warning, including dangerous 30-40 mph sustained winds with potential 60 mph gusts.’
‘Under advisement of the National Weather Service and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, we have no other choice than to cancel today’s When We Were Young Festival.’
