Authorities located Bam Margera at a Delray Beach, Florida hotel Wednesday, after the Jackass alum was reported missing from a nearby rehab facility he was at.
Sources told TMZ that police and a crisis intervention team took the 42-year-old TV personality, whose full name is Brandon Cole Margera, back to the rehab facility, and that he did not resist.
The manager of the rehab facility noted that the Viva La Bam star’s stay at the facility was ordered by a court, leading to police looking for him.
Bam Margera, 42, allegedly checked himself out of a Florida rehabilitation facility without prior authorization as required by a court order
Insiders told the outlet the West Chester, Pennsylvania native likely did not relapse, after he finished a year in a drug and alcohol treatment program, but it was not immediately clear as Margera has not been on his medication since his departure.
Margera was irked that he was not receiving ‘special treatment’ from staff at the facility, which led him to leave, sources told the outlet.
The outlet previously reported Margera was not allowed to leave his latest facility without authorization, but made the impulsive decision to leave the Delray Beach sober living facility after complaining of the rehab’s restrictions.
Police records obtained by DailyMail.com show that Margera told the manager at the facility he was unhappy with the treatment he was receiving, and would be checking himself into another rehab center in the area – apparently RECO Intensive.
On Tuesday, Margera posted a photo to his Instagram fist-bumping a man he called his ‘new Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor’
He also posted a photo to his Instagram Story featuring his wife, Nicole Boyd, and rapper Machine Gun Kelly – who was performing in Florida Tuesday night
Last month, Bam (born Brandon) celebrated ‘one year of treatment’ for drug and alcohol abuse at a Boca Raton facility, and said he plans on attending outpatient treatment classes for the next two months
The manager then reported to the police he saw Margera leaving in a black Honda Sedan at around 8 p.m. on Monday, and authorities have continued to search for him ever since.
Officials said Margera did not appear to be a danger to himself or others, and his friends and family were reportedly working hard to get him back into the facility, according to the New York Post.
Meanwhile, Margera posted a photo to his Instagram on Tuesday fist-bumping with his ‘new Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor.’
‘MMA fighter, chiropractor and 10 years sober Dominick, is my new AA sponsor #f-kYeah,’ he captioned the post.
He also added a selfie to his Instagram Story showing him with his wife, Nicole Boyd, and rapper Machine Gun Kelly – who was performing in Florida Tuesday night.
MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Bam Margera for comment.
Margera first entered the Delray Beach facility in September under police escort, after authorities were called about an ’emotionally distressed person.’
He celebrated ‘one year of treatment’ for drug and alcohol abuse last month, and had said at the time he planned on attending outpatient treatment classes for the next two months.

But Margera has reportedly been having problems with the facility.
After the television star broke his right wrist ‘for the 10th time’ and dislocated his right elbow while skateboarding last month, he refused pain medication due to his sobriety – but then blamed rehab-staffers for not setting up a physical therapy appointment.
The Pennsylvania-born star was attempting a trick that he hadn’t tried in a year at a Florida skatepark during a 30-minute break at a nearby AA meeting when his arm bent backwards, according to TMZ.
Margera has long had a history of substance abuse issues, as he had to check into a hospital in 2019 to treat an edema apparently caused by excessive drinking.
More recently, Margera was kicked off the latest Jackass project for failing to abide by conditions set forth by the producers relating to his addiction issues.
They were reportedly worried about his addiction issues and erratic behavior – for which he has recently explained he suffers from manic bipolar disorder – but wanted him to be a part of the project.
In order to remain a part of Jackass Forever, sources said the producers required Margera to sign a Wellness Agreement under which he would agree to continue taking his medication, regularly blow into a breathalyzer, stay sober, see a psychologist and take routine drug tests.
Margera is currently sharing an apartment with his second wife Nicole Boyd and their four-year-old son Phoenix Wolf, but they plan on moving back to Southern California soon to buy a new home (pictured last month)
Margera has previously revealed he has manic bipolar disorder and must take a slew of medications daily
During an interview with TMZ in April 2021, he listed a host of drugs the rehabilitation ordered him to be on for his release, including Zoloft, Lexapro, Wellbutrin, and Klonopin.
‘This is what the doctors say I need,’ he said. ‘And then it led to suicidal tendencies on all 18 medications I was on. I’m like, well what’s the point of a $5 million contract that I have to walk on eggshells and jump through your hoops, which is already impossible, to obey if I’m dead?’
When asked about Jackass 4 producers demands, Bam noted: ‘It was the definition of f***in torture,’ he said. ‘They tortured me.’
He was then fired from the project after testing positive for Adderall, though he claimed in a wrongful termination lawsuit that the producers knew he had been taking for a decade to treat Attention Deficit Disorder.
Margera claimed in a lawsuit against Johnny Knoxville, Paramount and others involved with the project, that the Wellness Agreement he signed – allegedly without a lawyer present – was unfair.
‘Margera was made to endure psychological torture in the form of a sham Wellness Agreement, and then ultimately terminated for his protected class status due to his mental condition, and his complaints about Defendants’ discriminatory conduct towards him,’ the lawsuit read, according to the New York Post.
He ultimately settled the suit last month.
The stunt performer previously appeared in MTV’s Jackass, Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 2.5, Jackass 3D and Jackass 3.5.
Paramount+ is currently developing a reboot of the Jackass series, but it’s unclear if Margera will be involved after Jackass producer Jeff Tremaine was granted a restraining order against Margera last year – after he allegedly threatened Tremaine’s family.
In April, Margera, left, privately settled his wrongful termination lawsuit against the Jackass creators over his firing from the the successful fourth film, Jackass Forever (pictured in 2010 with Johnny Knoxville and Jeffrey Tremaine)
