A woman accused of organising a bungled hit against her ex-lover sobbed to detectives while being grilled about a bloody map found in his pocket.
Biannca Edmunds, 35, claimed to have no memory of the day she allegedly ordered Glen Cassidy to murder Michael Caposiena – the estranged father of her toddler son – after he expressed a desire to continue access visits with their child.
On Monday, a Supreme Court of Victoria jury was played Edmunds’ record of interview with homicide squad detectives after her arrest some seven months after the shocking crime.

Glen Cassidy’s blood on the porch outside the house where he shot dead Mr Caposiena. He bled to death after attacking Silvana Silva
Dressed in a blue, sleeveless blouse, Edmunds broke down into tears while denying crafting the map of her ex-lovers home and a text message supposedly sent by Cassidy to her on the day he was killed.
Cassidy had bled to death after shooting Mr Caposiena dead inside his West Meadows home, north of Melbourne, in March 2016.
His bloody body was found outside the murder house next to a cap captioned ‘Fear The Reaper’.
Edmunds told police she had met Cassidy, aged more than 20 years her senior, after hiring him as her personal trainer.
When asked what she knew of the attack, Edmunds claimed to know nothing other than what she had heard in the media.
‘I just know there was a fight,’ she said.
Edmunds, who police allege manipulated and demanded Cassidy carry out the murder, told detectives it was Cassidy who had been upset about her ex-lover’s efforts to have access visits with their two-year old son.
‘Glen was sick of how we were being treated,’ she said.
Edmunds claimed Cassidy hated that Mr Caposiena asked to be called ‘daddy’ and wanted the child to carry his surname.
She told police Mr Caposiena had been stalking her leading up to his death and had snuck into her house and turned on the gas stove.
‘I started to get scared,’ she claimed.

The jury saw Edmunds become agitated when asked about her previous relationship with Mr Caposiena.
Her demeanour changed when she recalled her relationship with Cassidy, whom she claimed had been depressed at the time after losing his job.
Edmunds told detectives Cassidy’s three children had moved with him into her house, describing their mother as a ‘psychopath’.
‘They chose to live at my place,’ she said.
Edmunds’ smiles turned to tears again upon being asked about the day in which Cassidy died.
On Monday, the jury was shown CCTV footage of Cassidy casing out Mr Caposiena’s home before launching his murderous attack.
They were also shown images of the battered face of Mr Caposiena’s girlfriend Silvana Silva, who Cassidy bashed in the moments after shooting her partner dead.
He had tried to shoot her too, but had only loaded his revolver with one bullet.
Cassidy bled to death before he could kill Ms Silva, leaving his schnitzel dinner uneaten in his car.
A bloody map of his victim’s home, allegedly crafted by Edmunds, was found in his pocket.

He had sent a well worded text message to Edmunds taking sole responsibility for what he was about to do.
Edmunds told police she had fought with Cassidy that morning over plans to hire a motorhome for a family trip.
‘I don’t remember the rest of the day,’ she repeated.

The jury watched detectives grill Edmunds about Cassidy’s grasp of the English language, of which he had little.
‘I did not type that message,’ Edmunds said.
When shown the map found on Cassidy, Edmunds again became agitated and broke down in tears.
She further denied buying the gun used in the murder or helping to plan the assassination of her ex.
‘That’s just absurd,’ she sobbed.
Last week the jury heard claims Edmunds had spilled her guts about her role in the bungled hit to a man she had met on Tinder just weeks after her husband’s death.
Todd Bookham – who did almost eight years jail time for cutting his former wife’s throat and stabbing her step sister in front of her six-year old son – hooked-up with Edmunds, a mother of three, just weeks after the killings.
The jury heard Edmunds confessed to Bookham immediately after giving the December 2016 record of interview to police.
By then, Edmunds was certain police knew she had sent the text message from Cassidy’s phone in which he supposedly accepted sole responsibility for his actions.
‘They’re trying to get me on a text message … that I sent to Glen. I got Glen to send to and they’re – and they’re onto that,’ Edmunds allegedly told Bookham on her return home.
‘And they’re going to get me anyway and they even know about the map and they know all this stuff and I’m just going to hand myself in.’

Biannca Edmunds has pleaded not guilty to murder
The jury watched the uncomfortable moment Edmunds was shown the text message that came from Cassidy’s phone.
She had responded to it 45 minutes after it was sent, police allege by her.
‘Oh my god I can’t even remember this now,’ she told detectives. ‘I’ve blocked that out.’
In the witness boz last week, Bookham told the jury Edmunds was hysterical when she grabbed a knife later that day and put it to her own throat.
‘She just said she’s had enough of all this, like police harassing her and stuff like that. And she wanted to go and hand herself in,’ he told the jury.
Bookham claimed Edmunds admitted Cassidy had died because of her.
‘She was going on about how Glen wasn’t meant to die and it’s all her fault … she was telling me that they had drawn a map so that if he was to go there and, and kill um, sorry, what’s his name?’ Bookham said.
The jury heard last week Edmunds is accused of manipulating Cassidy to do her alleged evil bidding by using a deadly mix of scathing abuse and kinky sex.
‘If you were a real man and you had any f**king balls, you’d go and deal with this bloke,’ Edmunds allegedly told Cassidy.
‘You’re a spineless coward. You’re not a real man at all.’
The jury heard Edmunds also had plans to profit from her ex-partner’s demise by making a cruel legal challenge on his estate on behalf of their child.
The trial continues.
