BILLY Ray Cyrus’ son Trace says he is genuinely worried about his father after his disastrous inauguration performance.
Trace, 35, has shared a moving message about his dad, with the fellow musician revealing how he “barely recognizes” the 63-year-old.
Born to Tish Cyrus, Trace’s biological father is Baxter Neal Helson.
He was adopted at age four by Billy Ray Cyrus, his mother’s second husband, with his surname swiftly changed to Cyrus after the adoption.
Trace took to his Instagram account on Wednesday to share a concerned message about his father and how he is worried for him.
“Since my earliest memories all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever,” he began.
Trace added how he wanted to be just like him, noting: “The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life,” but adding a somber message soon after.
“Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now,” Trace added.
“It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you.
“You may be upset with me for posting this but I really could care less at this point,” he said.
“Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away.
‘THE MAN WE ONCE KNEW’
“Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven’t even been there for her. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though,” Trace continued.
“We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns,” Billy’s son pleaded.
He then declared: “You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it,” before saying how he had tears in his eyes as he wrote the emotional message.
“I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon. I love you Dad,” Trace went on.
‘HAVEN’T TALKED IN A WHILE’
He then revealed that they “haven’t talked in a while” before he declared “I’m over a year and half clean from alcohol” and said how he feels “amazing”.
