Brandy Norwood was allegedly hospitalized after having a seizure. According to TMZ, officials received an EMS call to Norwood’s home around noon on October 11. TMZ also said that her parents were in the hospital with her. The causes of the seizure and the confirmation of additional health conditions are yet unknown. It should be mentioned that she was admitted to the hospital in 2017 after losing consciousness on a flight at Los Angeles International Airport.
Norwood’s staff said at the time that she was traveling extensively as part of her tour, taking more than ten flights. They also noted that Norwood had been working all night in her studio before leaving for the airport to catch a 5:45 a.m. flight. In an interview with the New York Post, she stated:
“I haven’t been classified as bipolar, but I’ve had instances when trauma has forced me to be less than myself, and I thought at one point that I could’ve experienced that.”
In a separate interview with The Grio, she revealed that she had struggled with severe depression, trauma, and PTSD. She went on to say that she had been through a lot and had to conquer it all via counseling, prayer, writing, and meditation.
