The long-awaited result in the Nevada Senate race has been called by Decision Desk HQ on Saturday night, projecting incumbent Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto to retain the seat.

At 6:12 p.m. Clark County updated its results, giving Masto a lead in excess of 50,000 votes and an 8-point lead in the county.

Just minutes later the DDHQ called the race for Masto.

Adam Laxalt has not yet responded, but in the hour before the latest results were released he encouraged voters to check that their ballots had been counted and gave information about the ballot curing resources. This could be an indication that Laxalt may believe he can still overcome Masto’s Clark County lead.

The Secretary of State’s website has not been updated at this time to reflect the results reported from Clark County. Statewide, Masto leads by roughly 6,000 votes. Washoe County has not finished counting. In Clark 5,555 provisional votes, and around 7,000 ballots remaining in the curing process are still uncounted.
