US House Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) was killed in a car accident on Wednesday at approximately 12:32 PM. The crash happened in Elkhart County after Walorski’s car collided head-on with another.

The northbound vehicle driver, Edith Schmucker, died as well.

According to the report, a car driven by a woman named Edith Schmucker was driving northbound when she exited her lane, crossing into the lane occupied by Walorski’s car. The two cars hit each other at a high speed, leading to the deaths of Walorski, Schmucker, Emma Thompson, and Zachery Potts, with the latter two being in the same car as Walorski.
