The race was on Tuesday for the Mayor of Chicago. The two top vote-getters would go on to a run-off.

But the big breaking news is that the much hated Lori Lightfoot is projected to have lost. Badly.

Cook Political’s Dave Wasserman has called it.

Paul Vallas, former Chicago Public Schools CEO, and Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson are projected to face each other in the April 4 runoff.

I think we all can start celebrating now the ouster of Mayor Lori “Rules for thee, but not for me” Lightfoot.

Goodbye, fond memories.

Warning graphic language.

Can we ever forget how she flouted her own rule during the pandemic against getting a haircut because she said she was required to look good?

And let’s not forget:

Reality has arrived for Lightfoot and today, we are dancing.

Adios, Lightfoot!
